Shibumi Firenze was founded in 2012 with a focus on handmade ties, printed silks and less common fabrics and weaves. The brand’s approach is rooted in classic menswear, with particular attention to texture, pattern and proportion.
Grenadine, shantung, ancient madder, Japanese jacquard, repp and other woven silks are central to the Shibumi Firenze identity. These fabrics give the ties more surface interest than a standard smooth silk tie while keeping the overall look grounded in traditional tailoring and men’s accessories.
Shibumi’s strongest point is its use of distinctive cloth within familiar menswear formats. Texture is especially important: grenadine, shantung, ancient madder and jacquard each change the character of a tie without requiring an unusually bold shape or construction.
