Carlos Santos Shoes is a family business that has been producing high-quality men’s shoes in São João da Madeira, Portugal for more than four decades. Carlos Santos, the founder, started working in the shoe industry when he was 14 years old and was passionate about shoes and the art of making them.
In the 70s and 80s, he traveled the world looking for the best examples of shoe manufacturing, attended fashion shows and bought shoes to dismantle them and understand the techniques of great creators.
Today, Portugal is one of the most prestigious manufacturers of luxury shoes in the world, and Carlos Santos is one of its greatest ambassadors. The company is still a family business, and the founder is now working alongside his daughter and son.
