Pantherella

Pantherella was founded in Leicester in 1937 by Louis Goldschmidt. The business developed around the idea that finer-gauge socks could provide a lighter and more comfortable alternative to the heavier hosiery common at the time.

The brand continues to produce socks in Leicester using cotton, Fil d’Ecosse, merino wool, linen and other fine yarns. Its range covers traditional dress socks, patterned casual styles and lighter no-show designs, with fine knitting and clean finishing central to the Pantherella identity.

Fine-gauge knitting remains the clearest expression of Pantherella’s identity. The brand is less about one particular pattern or fiber than about making lighter, carefully finished socks that work naturally with proper footwear, tailored trousers and everyday menswear.
