Stenströms was established in Helsingborg in 1899 after tailor August Stenström’s handmade shirts gained a growing following. The company developed into one of Sweden’s best-known shirtmakers and became a Royal Court Supplier in 1962.
Shirtmaking remains the foundation of the brand, with fabric, collars, fit and construction at its core. Stenströms has since expanded into knitwear and other menswear while keeping its Swedish shirtmaking heritage central to its identity.
More than a century after its founding, shirts remain the clearest expression of the Stenströms identity. The brand has expanded into knitwear and other menswear, but its approach to fabric, fit and understated Scandinavian design still reflects its origins as a specialist shirtmaker.
