Choosing Shoe Polish

Wax polish adds shine and a protective surface layer to smooth leather shoes. Choose a shade close to the leather when you want to maintain its color, or use neutral polish when you do not want to add pigment.

Apply wax in thin layers and brush or buff between applications. The toe and heel can take more polish because they flex less, making them the easiest areas to build a higher shine. Use shoe cream first when the leather also needs conditioning or color care.
